We don’t know for how long this practice has been around but we do know it’s going to stay. It is our passion to collect information on this strand of painting.

Just like any other form of painting, the rules vary slightly. With rust painting you’re applying a medium (acid and water etc.) to a support/base (sheet of metal/paper/fabric). Sometimes when viewing a rust painting the viewer is not looking so much at the medium as they would in traditional painting but rather at the support/base.
